A Social Phobe's Adventures in New Mommyhood

Can I complain for a Moment?

Yes I know its been forever.
With a crazy kid, greasy hair, and too much ramen noodles in a week, you really dont feel like going on the computer.

Stewie has developed this warped sense of humor. Its funny to him when we say no. "Dont bang your head on that" ~smile~ SMACK~ "Stewie, NO that hurts you" ~smile~SMACK~ "k fine do what you want....."

And you can forget kissing the kid. You go to kiss him and you get head butted as hard as he can. Then he cracks up. And he does it for love too. Ill be sitting next to him, he will look up at me with those big blue eyes, smile, and go in for the kill. BANG! "heh love ya mommy"

For two days now, he hasnt wanted solid foods. AFter like I dont know what 8 months of solids, he no longer wants any? He will take a few bites, then spit one out very slowly, and look at me, and then just let it fall. Sometimes if I yell loud enough he will suck it in, but wont take any more bites.
I dont know when the hell Im supposed to start weening him off of bottles. My quack of a pediatrician hasnt told me shit. He's almost 1 so Im assuming I should start cutting down on bottles during the day and just feed him more and give him more juice. Which is fine but all he wants is juice and baba's and forget everything else gets spit out. Even his crackers which he loves. I swear hes acting like this to spite me. Its that look in his eyes...

So besides my kid going completely nuts, (or is that me?) things around here SUCK.
Remember someone once saying "all you need is love" yeah well he was stinkin rich.

The washer broke yesterday. This washer is one year old. Its done for. Thats no washer, no toaster, and no clothes for tiny tim this winter.
I swear to GOD if one of us gets hurt we are totally SCREWED. I mean seriously its like we are the Cratchets this year. I dont know who MR Screwge is, but he better friggen get in the xmas spirit and get us a turkey or something.

You know you never really realize how you've got it made before you have kids. We had rough times before, but this is just one step above dirt poor right here. If anyone out there wins the lottery, think of us dear friends lol. Im not kidding.
We might have to eat one of the dogs for thanksgiving... Even though Gwynnie is the smaller of the two, she drives me the most crazy.... so roasted chiauhaua it is!!! You've had your last yelp little lady!!!! Pass the dark meat over here....

Oh and you sweet sweet lady who offered to help me find clothes for Stewie. Please email me. Jenbroni82@yahoo.com
Its people like you who truely make me believe that the human race isnt full of jerks. Just half full....

  • Hey mama, for some reason the email I sent you came back to me as "undeliverable." Anyway, I wanted to know what kind of winter clothes Stewie needs most. The winters here in MI are pretty harsh and probably a lot colder than what you're used to. Does he need long pants and long sleeve shirts? Any coats, hats or mittens? Let me know!

  • I am wondering where your priorities are, you have fun things like a computer and internet connection but can't afford thrift store clothes for your child? You can buy brand new pants at WalMart for around $5...I know everyone gets into difficult situations but we all need to evaluate what is more important to us.

  • Wow, it's amazing how people who say the most unkind things are the biggest cowards.

No one should assume to know this mother's business and think she's not doing everything she can for her child just because she has a computer and access to the internet.

  • I do not and did not assume to know her business. It seems to me if she can get people to send her supplies with her blog, perhaps it would not be so bad to receive advice as well. Based on what she put out there for anyone to read I felt that it needed to be said. This is America; if you can offer clothes I should be able to offer advice.
What would this world turn to if we all just cried on the internet looking for handouts instead of fighting to make our lives and those of our families better? Maybe some tough love is what she needs instead of people facilitating her poverty; will you be there in five years if her situation has not improved, or ten?

  • I hate the helpless feeling of being broke. If it weren't for Squeaks birthday coming up, she wouldn't have any winter clothes!

And hey, don't let that anonymous creep get to you.

I have a new email address, it's sleepynewmommyblog@yahoo.com. Email me and send me your address, if you don't care. I would love to send Stewie some clothes when I get the chance. What size is he in right now?
